Welcome To My World

I have spent so much time living within myself – feeling alone – blinkers on my eyes!  I realise that it is time to step forward and cherish the universe, my loved ones and the beauty that is all around me.  The sounds of family, the warm feeling of nature’s creatures, the music and images within me and the music that fills my spirit.

So it is time that I share my world and my experiences.  Here’s to my family and loved ones.

A Short Day Trip With Violet

Just after New Years Violet and I took a short day drive to Niagara On The Lake just to have a bit of supper and to experience the last remnants of Christmas feeling.  The snow began to gently fall when we were in the Angel Treasures Shop and the town looked as a magical fairy land.

Tom Cruise at ETalk promoting Valkyrie

Life brings us many opportunities and today was no exception.  I attended the taping of ETalk and had the wonderful experience of hearing Tom Cruise interviewed by Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim.  I was seated right behind him and the audience was allowed to photograph him during commercial breaks.

I must say that he was extremely personable, warm and completely down to earth.  He embraced the audience ~ engaging in conversation and sharing his bright light.  I was fortunate to be able to shake hands with him and tell him how much I enjoy his work ~ not the action flicks but his wonderful performances in Magnolia, Minority Report, The Last Samurai ~ acting that was unique.  His eyes and words expressed gratitude.

There is not one iota of doubt how much this man loves his family ~ praising his lovely wife Katy and beloved child Suri.  His care for Isabella and Connor is very evident.

As a woman, certainly his appeal is magnetic, but I must agree with Andrew Powell of The Gate that men do in fact have a man crush on him as was evident from the reaction of each individual there.

David Foster – Meeting an icon

How many careers has David Foster launched?  One can try to count but there are not enough fingers and toes.  What an honour to be in the presence of this man – to hear him speak and listen to him play the piano.

Fortunate to be sitting very close I was able to watch his features and pride when he spoke of his beloved artists and his book and latest CD/DVD Hitman.  I took many pictures and then he graciously signed my book ~ on the page with a picture of he and Josh and then I mentioned that Josh Grobans Foundation was having its current Auction ~ Race for a Million.  He was kind enough to sign the CD/DVD for the purpose of my donating to the fundraiser.

Meeting Josh Groban

I have been so fortunate in meeting the man that I consider having the ONE voice – a voice that has brought me through so many of life’s trials and ills.  There are no words to thank Josh Groban for the miracles he has brought to my life.

Beloved – Thou Art Man

Even as a child I have marveled at these remarkable creatures that, to me, are no less intelligent than man.  Often I have sat upon the ground, face against the glass, humbled at the wisdom I see looking back at me. I have felt the lump in my heart and hold back the tears.  I beleive they understand what I am feeling.

I have placed my palm against the window and have been rewarded by Charles placing his hand on the other side to touch mine.  I feel a connection and my arms want to encircle their bodies…..a longing to stroke their heads and say, “Although you are on display – prisoners – but protected, you are beloved in my spirit.”

An Out of the Way Resteraunt

During the summer, when our world was bright and we were still looking for work ~ Violet and I would take drives just a few miles from Toronto.  We came upon a lovely out of the way restaurant in Oakville one evening and stayed for supper.  Such a pleasant place ~ quanint ~ filled with wonderful memorabilia.  We had such a feeling of being in Greece.

Gosamer Wings of Paradise

Beautiful colours with fragile wings, butterflies are earthly angels.  Their lives so very short and precious.  A touch of a human finger of their wing renders them unable to fly – thus unable to reach the nectar so necessary for their being.

Josh Groban – One Night Live

What a wonderful and inspiring evening – with proceeds going to Sunnybrook Hospital.  I was fortunate enough to see Josh at the press conference in the afternoon.  Eloquent as always.

JOSH GROBAN – Pittsburgh – August 4, 2007

There was sadness, in my heart, as this was the last show on the road.

What a wonderful trip filled with great experiences, Grobie love and Josh.
